CHAIRMAN AL HAJI SHEIKTIJAN S MBOOB ADDRESSING STUDENTS WITH OUTSTANDING PERFOIRMANCE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023 AT KAUR, THE GAMBIA

The “BACK TO SCHOOL BACKPACKS PROGRAM”  is a program organized and funded by KSDF DIASPORA 15  based  in Marietta Georgia USA. In this program students are being awarded  a backpack filled with school supplies for having achieved highly commendable  results.   The objective   is to motivate  students to continue performing  better each academic  year and also to inspire others to do the same thereby encouraging a healthy competition amongst themselves. The Chairman Al Haji Sheiktijan Mboob has delivered a keynote speech encouraging students to believe more in themselves and to work towards achieving their goals. He made us really proud as our Chairman, for we felt well represented. The Organization KSDF DIASPORA 15   was founded on Septemberr 17,  2015 through the initiative of Ajaratou Amie Nyang and Ramou Loum who invited quite a few of us  from Kaur to form an association to support our dear home town, Kaur,  in its development efforts.  Today is a day of celebration. We are celebrating our school children for their excellent performance during the academic year 2022-2023. Many of them have made this day possible, through persistence and hard work, through external and internal motivation, and through their love of education,  and we commend them for it.   We have a fervent hope that we will keep up with them throughout their academic journey. A special acknowledgement to the Executive Team for their support and input to make this day a success. Our sincere appreciation to Professor, Dr. Abdoulaye Saine, Chief Adviser, without whose in-depth intellect and sound adice, we would not have come this far. He is also our top donor.  Our  sincere gratitude to the  representation fostered by our counterpart Kaur Socual Development Fund in The Gambia. Its president Alaratou Fatou Nyan and her vice president Mr. Bolong Jobarteh were not oonly poresent, but were also fully engaged with protocols and distribution of prizes. The presence of the alkalos of all the three towns of Kaur wharf Town, Touray Kunda and janneh Kunda respectively, has gracefully adorned this occasion. We are grateful ro Mr Mustapha Njie, Educator/ Alkalo, for his pivotal role in drawing our focus to the educational needs of the children. Lastly but not the least we are indebted to our brave and courageous teachers for working tirelessly in molding these young minds to become fine citizens of Kaur and the whole country.  We appreciate all those eho, despite their busy schedules , have managed to spare their time and effort to make this day a success for KSDF DIASPORA 15

PRIZES ARE BEING LAID OUT ON MATS READY FOR DISTRIBUTION

The uk initiative

It is always important to remember to give back to the community that nurtured you and made you what you are today. Kaur Social Development Fund UK Chapter has a noble idea of bringing electricity to the masses in Kaur. Already various locations including Kaur Wharf Town, Kaur Janneh Kunda and Kaur Touray Kunda have solar lights installed at their mosques(masjids) respectively. This is what our organization is all about. It is hoped that this initiative will extend to the streets or other locations that need it. We are appealing to all citizens of Kaur and our well wishers to support this initiative.

Kaur Social Development Fund was founded on September 15, 2015, it’s been 5 years now, but it is very fulfilling to note that almost all citizens of Kaur at home and in the diaspora have converge under one umbrella with the same objective to support our dear home town Kaur in order to combat poverty and illiteracy. We appreciate all the efforts both collective and individual for the betterment of Kaur. This is a very ambitious project and requires a lot of input to complete. We are therefore looking for support both financial and material assistance. We appreciate any help we can get.

Please find below the link to donate online: https://kaursdf.org/donate

Thank you.
